New people

Today Momma had human visitors. They even held me. I was charming and adorable of course, but I'm not sure these humans are very educated as they thought my hissing meant I wanted to hurt them.

It was an awful day otherwise as Momma is out of mealies for me and the pet store nearby only had something called super worms, so she has to wait to get more, something about super worms might bite me. I don't think she realizes how tough I am, like some bug would dare to bite me!

My human is alright...

She bugs me and messes with me, but she never hurts me. I've started letting her touch my feet and trim my nails without too much complaining. I usually get mealies out of the deal. Tonight I even let her inspect my ears.

While she cleaned my cage I spent time with "Mammy" who doesn't smell like Momma, but talks nice and scratches my neck right. She also slipped me a couple of mealies. Then I heard Momma and decided the Mammy person wouldn't do any longer and started hissing and popping until I was safely snuggled with Momma again.

I even let the small human hold me for a minute. He's easily distracted and I almost made it off of his lap and into the couch cushions before I was noticed.

Momma keeps checking my new quills, which are kinda sore and itchy. She also exclaims over the ones she finds in my bed. I hope this quilling business is over soon.

Time to eat and run and eat and run. Busy night ahead of me.

Bath

My human has informed me today shall be bath day. I suppose I shall allow it as it makes her happy. Keeping humans happy is important. When she is happy I receive extra mealies and "crippits" as she calls them. The snuggle time after the bath is especially nice as well. Baths aren't so bad. The water makes a nice little splash as I stomp around and the brush gets all of my itchy spots.

My "brother"

My human says this fur beast is my "brother"

I am not so sure.

A day in my life.

So my human found me running on my wheel at 6am. She spoke to me in that cutesy voice and I hissed  to show her I love her too. She went about her morning, preparing the small humans for their voyage out into the BIG WORLD. I continued to run until the last of the small humans had been removed for the day. I decided to call it a day and went to my food, making sure to crunch loudly so my human knew I was eating (she gets nervous if I don't eat, I don't like her agitated as she must then "check on" me many times throughout the day.) She brought me out to the computer so I could type my thoughts but quickly realized I am too important to type for myself.

So, I'm a hedgehog...

I've heard it's all the rage for hedgehogs to have their own blogs, so here is mine.
